Brought forth from the desperation of humans, the Hatari Angani, squeal in horror as they swoop down to destroy the towns along the western highways. The desperate humans incapable of even flight from this terror, will soon be dead forever. Only then will the squeals be heard no more.

Heartbreak Forest

Originally I did this painting for our commercial art company Blue Genie Art as a 16′ backdrop for a Marty Stuart video. In the original, a raven was superimposed over the backdrop.

I was so fascinated by the original composition that I wanted to create another, more complete painting, I tried to imbue the composition with a living palpable sorrow.
